Welcome to Standley Middle School! Hopefully you're excited about the year ahead of you. I just want to give you some hints for the first few days of school:
Hope you have a great first week!
- When you get your schedule, walk around and try to figure out where your classrooms are. The buildings are organized into hundreds. So there's a 300 building, 400 building, 500 building, etc. Walk around the building and you'll eventually run into your classroom.
- Textbooks will be going home with 6th graders on Friday, September 2 during their math class. You might want to bring an extra bag that day to carry all your books home with you.
- Make sure you find out from your teachers which textbooks have to come to school each day, and which textbooks can stay at home. For my math class, the math textbook can stay home but the soft cover Record and Practice Journal should come to school each day.
- There are some supplies that are recommended for my math class: graph paper spiral notebook (can usually be found in Staples, RiteAid, etc.) and glue sticks.
Hope you have a great first week!
